how can we bear the standards of our grandfathers when we learned so much from our sisters mostly we sit, useless our fingers touching the smooth face of mediocrity while others walk shoeless seemingly they're martyrs for my indulgence invisible forces keep them at bay leaving me to twiddling my thumbs thinking of such trivialities all day but thought is useless without action the smooth face of mediocrity keeps the words from leaping off the page into a substantial reality the lines of wisdom, will they come? will they come for us? or are we lost in self pity and distrust? i think, yet just because i think does not mean i am not a robot thinkers can be lost in apathy if they think in circles the circle jerk of mediocrity a certain social masturbation of ignorance a celebration of deference we help ourselves to their mechanical harvest without realizing who works the hardest and what is lost in the process is everything we love, for once i wish we had the ability to die knowing that we can experience so much before we die, yet even as those thoughts enter my mind all my fingers touch is the smooth face of mediocrity |

Amazing introspective soul-search write, and you've left it open for pondering both past and future actions, while contemplating today. welcome to the blue pages and congratulations on bringing your music dreams to reality |

I'm glad you liked it thanks for the comment and the warm welcome. As for my musical dreams, we shall see... I'm not quitting the day job just yet... |
