Ain’t no way that we stop now, Give up, and lay down, so you can continue your war path, The underlying cause of my stress is years of repression, My people raise your head now, and fight this oppression, The only time you see us is when we catch you with your evil deeds, Then you become part of my fight, and my struggle, Until it dies down, and then it repeats, My head hurts knowing that I feel hopeless, Heart is broken in a million pieces, As you carry on your with your selfish wishes, From two strangers, we move forward hand in hand, Knowing that each life matters, sharing our anger, Through protest, whether they be full of vengeance, Or one that is silent that you can hear a pin drop, Each year, each crime, brings the reality closer, Even though we shed many tears, we won’t live in fear, Life is full of stress; trying to care for babies, while surviving, Not letting you take my life for granted anymore, All you see are differences and how I don’t fit your mold, Then you try to justify the brutality with the excuse of panic, No wonder we rise up, even when broken down, labeled as an outcast, Feeling the stereotypes, proliferate through my community, Labeling me as something to be feared, Instead of raising your humanity. I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality. |

The subject matter becomes even more touchy when emotions are raised to such a high level. Of course, it doesn’t take a genius to realize that emotions are at such a high level because the subject matter was touchy already, and hasn’t been addressed. I personally don’t believe anything can be resolved in a long standing manner through anger. I am not saying anger doesn’t have its place, and I am not saying it isn’t justified. I am saying though, until each side views the other in a human and humane capacity, till we can appreciate what is being seen through others eyes and not just our own, we as a species are looking at a recipe for grief. I feel your emotion Xeonox, and that of others, I hope we as a society can manage to assuage it in a manner that proves productive for humanity as a whole. That is moves us in a manner that guides us in that direction, and doesn't just settle for anger being enough when resolution clearly is needed. |
