As vapor cooled condensed to mist
by elemental bond is formed
the thoughts that flow with subtle twist
are polarised before the storm
The mist collects on up-turned leaf
repeated countless times and then
what's come to be will seek relief
as weight does cause the branch to bend
Small droplets heed gravity's pull
and fall enmasse onto the ground
as vessels when they're over-full
will burst unless surcease is found
A trickle formed becomes a stream
that rushes swift along it's path
while deluged by so many things
the words reflect their aftermath
The stream into a river swells
that courses sure down to the sea
what has been left behind will tell
a tale etched in eternity
The sea from whose depths life has sprung
now serves to keep one more child young

Doc.....

Speaking as one who has always had
a love affair going with words........
        I enjoyed this one tremendously!
It definitely got my vote, and I
       would vote again, except there's
               only one box!!!!!

Oh my...this is superb analogy, imaginative language, tender phrasing...simply put, a beautiful study of the creative process. Poetry of the soul, one might say. I loved it.

DrMoose~
This is positively brilliantly perfect ! !

Oh, how it literally rolls off the tongue ...
what a GREAT read-aloud piece.

The cadence marches me along in perfect-stepped harmony.

Be very proud of this piece ... it is of showcase quality.

Oh, yeah ... and I like it, too !
