Between midnight thoughts

Your smile can inspire the stars to fall from the nights sky,
And charm the sun to quench it's blaze,
Your eyes can soothe the raging waves till the oceans cry,
And moulds its sands to the image of your face.
Then it would be washed away in shame,
For failure to capture your essence,
The eternal beauty that lies within your soul,
The gem that makes you priceless.
Your words can spark the dimmest of spirits,
And burn the thickest of blood,
Restoring life to despair, seemingly hopeless,
Encouraging the heart with love.
Your grace can persuade the mightiest of mountains,
To crumble under the softness of your feet,
And open it's bowels to adorn you with it's treasures,
For the twinkle in the eyes of of an elegant queen.
For the chaste of your heart would roses bleed,
And fall lifeless from their thorn covered stems,
Their withered petals would rebloom at your tender touch,
And blossom with life once again.
The rain would refuse to fall,
On a countenance so radiant and pure,
Because your heart so humble and modest,
Would entrance the skies to cry no more.

Oh surely,
this gem will not remain
untitled for long...

Untitled?  Surely a poem this well conceived
should have a title....   Very nice Gabriel.

Truthfully there was a name for it somewhere in the crevices of my mind, but silly me, i never wrote it down, and as the days flew past me, I forced myself to smother the slight flicker of memories i had of her along with this piece...but that's a whole other story i guess!
