i sit here wondering if it is true
if this is all a dream or can it be
i ask myself do i really love you
then thinking if you love me

i thought you were really here to stay
but i guess what i really thought was wrong
i hate to think your slipping away
i should of known it wouldn't be for long

it seems like you don't know me anymore
i can not picture my life with out you
but you broke my heart and made it sore
yet i hate to think that we are all through

getting out of reach of my finger tips
and the wind softly whispers in my ear
as i sit here and watch you slip and slip
oh my darling you have nothing to fear
