Picking up the pieces

I had my heart broken
shattered
he scattered the pieces
and careless words were spoken

it hurt too much
feeling nothing but pain
trying to pick up the pieces
missing his touch

it took time to let him go
couldn't see myself
without him
not letting my love flow

i clutched the pieces away
desperatly to myself
afraid to love again
but maybe someday

i finally gave them to justin
handed him the pieces
he pieced them together again
making my heart whole and new
