*note: this is the first time I've ever posted in this forum, and this is an old poem. I hope it fits with the rest here at this forum..Thanks. If I couldn’t drink the wine that flowed from your cup, Would you help me up so I could be whole again? If I couldn’t raise my arms to embrace your shaking skin, Would you bend down to me so I could whisper away you alarm? When I lose my way and stumble around, Would you be by my side to guide me to the light? And if I couldn’t stand the strain of the weight on my back. Would you look to the sky and help to clear the rain? If I couldn’t wipe away the tears as they flood your eyes, Would you let me do my best to try to make them stop? I will be here for you even if I’m not near, So would you trust in me when I’ve proved myself? ------------------ Tout s'en va, tout passe, l'eau coule, et le couer oublie. |
