Sweet Season When lemon-drop forsythias Sway in the tangy breeze And candy-coated dewdrops Spill on the licorice trees, The sugar-sweet of summer Will hint a cherry haze And tantalize us all With peppermint filled days. Winter can’t detain us, She’s gone that way before, We’re like little children In a springtime candy store. |
