                     if there's nothing to wait for

                       there's nothing to date for

                        i'd search every state for

a tiny sign of your existence

                               if i found you

would your dessert plate be waiting to reward my persistence

                        or would you still insist

i delight to write about my resistence

                   to disacknowledge the effects

of your sound effects

                            on my Spalding
