Sun and moon In late afternoon Still on either side Of a pale blue sky Autumn leaves In red and gold reflections The water ripples As it passes Under a wooden bridge There are deer in pairs Grazing in fields Beside the forest— Young squirrels leap From tree to tree Acorns falling Break Echo’s silence In the distance Snowy hills . |
