My Ex she was a Belfast Girl Where sometimes yes means no She was the Sweetest Darling That one could wish to know I married her with Battle Scars Still carried (but not on show) She was the Sweetest Darling Hardworking and a Saint There is no other picture That I could wish to paint Though I would say her habits Were sometimes very quaint I married her with Battle Scars I carried them with pride Until the day she left me Then I broke down and cried She always smiled so sweetly Especially when she lied |
