She picks petals one-by-one, drops them in frowned disdane onto the well-worn planked floor. Nevermore, she sighs. Nevermore. But her soft soulful gaze 'neath ambered windows glazed by a late summer-haze defies the moment. And the curve of her lips smiles truth. For tomorrow, the sun shall rise up to greet the flowering of a new day. |
