Night enormous, hovers me in sleep, covering my eyes in tar, demanding shallow breath; I swallow, raspy words emerge, “I am not ready today.” Crawling I hide under heavy sheet, holding knees; I am a torpedo ready to swim furiously into depths unseen. With feet ready to walk, I latch onto new day Sun, covered in gray veils, looks beyond to moon, while I sob leaves fallen from last years winter. |

Thank you Lady and Dark. Your words move me so. Without your comments I wouldn't know for sure if I should write at all. |
