Petition the moon to
“stay a little longer
and spell the sun”
whose wicked rays
rouse dreams
from deepest
slumber

Beg the stars
“slow to rise
find a lazy orbit”
long enough
till round me swirl
visions
of sweet
desire

Robert, I think the poem carries an excellent
idea, reads nicely and conveys images that
are pleasant to see in our mind's eye....
