Diagnosis was discriminate, Taunting me ill, Before my time here passes, Here is my worldly will. To the great explorers of yesteryear, I leave my weary shoes, Scuffed and untied, They can circumnavigate you through the blues. To the great pillars of society, I leave my collection of books, Wisdom comes to those who seek, Never just rely on your looks. To each family on this earth, I leave the art of conversation, Treasure your time together, Before death’s retaliation. To those who our racially repressed, I offer the rainbow of hope, Where Respect of colour, Binds us humans like rope. To those who seek answers, And our eager to fight, I offer you love, To be true to what’s right. |
