The heart impatiently
Strives to soften
The space left empty

Love has gone
Leaving but memories
Once again to long
What togetherness brings

A little time shall
A little time will
Time's healing allows
The empty to fill

I can relate to this so much. It's true time really does heal but unfortunately it seems like it takes forever for that healing to occur.

The heart is quite remarkable - no matter how often is is broken it springs back to shape ready for more.
