I feel lost once more; these words may help me find myself, This point in life seems to be a struggle, As I tried to survive in society’s jungle, Many emotions claw at my heart, Failure, loss, and confusion deal the worst pain, I finished what I set forth to do, and yet no joy I sense in my accomplishment, Weakness and sadness surrounds me today, They are left as my only two friends, I’ve lost touch with the rest, In a moment such as this, my heart hurts the most, What I hold back from the rest, I spill forth on this page, Feeling trapped inside the society’s cage, I try often to fly away, But then a realization washes over me, I am no angel that can fly away, But a worker who must chip away… I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality. |
