A bird cries in the silent night, A man screams in sudden plight, A bird soars through the tar-black sky A car glides a dead man by A bird lands on a frosted branch A torch glows on a lonely ranch A bird tucks under its black wings A fox sniffs the last of his gold rings A bird blinks it's eyes in the soft moons light A lantern lies silent in a broken kite A birds black feather glides down to land A mans bleached bones are covered with sand [This message has been edited by rachel_anubis (11-15-2011 06:18 PM).] |

The imagery is so powerful and potent, I love the simplicity of it. It is condensed down into such powerful lines and meaning. Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. |
