Fulfilled

With these eyes,
I give thee my love.
A love without pretense or condition.
With this old man's heart,
I plea for the honor of holding your tears
when your pain dines in.
With these large calloused hands
I would hold you
and make my back your shield.

If I could do little else in my life
but just look at you,
I would still consider myself
fulfilled.
