To hold you for just one second
would only mean one thing
I'd have to drag you through a life
of misery and pain
To look into your tiny face
or sing you silly songs
would surely make your future dark
and be my greatest wrong

Hmm, before I make some kind of long, drawn out reply, do you think it's possible for you to give me a background for this?

I can see it's dark, looming qualities, but the subject is too blurry for me to completely understand.
