. with the wind stroking the sequoia and that gypsy swallowing the sea? When your ears are cushioned, deaf to my rhythms- washed and willing. . I want that, too. . . Want the song of widows, wending through these silent evenings, their lime and meringue notes staining my tongue, my throat, my solar plexus. Where did you discover . . that Celtic knot of pleasure, pulled beneath the foam, an incipient undertow- yearning for the depths? . I want that, too. . . . |
