Tomorrow, how I hate you... I really have to say- So many more just like you... Have all turned to yesterday. The promise held before me- I clung to like a trust... Alas, you leave me empty... In my mouth the taste of dust. Grabbing for a future... I knew could never last... My dreams have turned to nightmares Now half-buried in the past. The championship I never won- The place I never owned... A victim of tomorrow's lies- Today I'm all alone. Tomorrow you're a trickster... The truth you cannot tell... You paint a scene of Heaven... Then you plunge us into Hell. |

Whoa, not woe! This is dark stuff and I can sympathize somewhat, yet judging by your skillful writing you are a champion and your place is the entire Earthful, nay Universe of honesty. It is tough giving up long-held dreams and replacing them with worthwhile others. Sometimes all I can fathom is that God works in some mighty mysterious ways! |
