Thistledown Wind

Morning mist and bracing chill
give way to a fine azure cloak
of deep and formidable clouds
that wraps these endless hills
in a lovely mix of mellow shadows,
sunbeams, and many-colored leaves
dancing Autumn's tune
with the thistledown wind!
