What will this coming night bring, That within the darkness birds sing And laughter come bursting through a window, Far off thunder begins to sound But sooner a glad shelter is found Away from streetlights searching shadow. The song sweet no longer comes As the rain begins to slowly drum, She answers the door with a smile Invites me inside to stay for a while Till the rain leaves that has just begun. I give a kiss to the lovely sight And hope it rains all the night. Gloom |

Nothing like a little convenient rain to set the scene for a lovely poem, Professor. Ida |
