SALUTE
9 January 2013

Precious, tiny bird
how little they know,
who crave your freedom,

for bravery and joy
the width of the sky,
is your only shield
against ever-looming
predators
protected by the laws of nature

while those who envy you,
not knowing your little heart,
are surrounded
by walls
and guns
and burglar guards.

so deep and beautiful, the paradoxes of birds' lives, thanks diana , yo see far beyond common eyes,
