If love was not a lie then why these tears I cry? If love was not a game then why these fears and pain? If love was meant to last then who was I to laugh? If love was such a blast then who was in my stash? If love was true and glue then why was I so blue? If love was bona fide then what was left aside? If love was here and there then why was I to dare? If love was in the heart then where was I to start? If love was cupid's arrow then how was I to follow? If love was deep or shallow then how was I to sip or swallow? If love was suicide to hell I say to this last line. Eric Martinez 2013 |

Strange, when I used the suicide word they took my poem off. ~*~ If they give you lined paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Eric, love is simple and pure...it is people and relationships that are complex and sometimes torture. A life without love to share isn't living to me... Interesting write. Lori ![]() |
