             Only You

A pale November moon wears
its cloak of clouds and stars
above a dark-velvet world
bathed in uncertain moonlight
and diaphanous shadows
that slowly dance to a voiceless
   wind
on this evening-twilight edge
of Winter and an infinitely creative
universe awash in boundless
chaos, change, and ‘Deep-Time’
   uncertainty.
Though there are ten thousand
doubts and legions of immortal,
unanswered questions, no matter,
for all now have come to nothing …
By moonlight, starlight, firelight,
candlelight, and dreamlight
there is only you!
