To be alone And to be lonely Ain't the same . . . No A lonely mind Takes notice of its loneliness and weeps But if the mind is merely alone It has a peaceful soul Lonely hears only the bells Chime for "them" And the Heaven is bleak and gray The Brutal Sky rains down hurt Like an approaching tide Drinking greedily from a lonely mind Not sated until nothing is left ©March 10, 2012 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
