Drip, Drip, Be,beep Its more than a sound, but a measure, Methodical, timely and continual, Not associated with pain or pleasure Hardly is it perceptional; Drip, Drip, Be,beep T’is sound that you feel, Like meter in fine poetry, And if it’s fantasy or just real You know it has to be; Drip, Drip, Be,beep Sounds echoing in the darkness full Personify and multiply some imagery, Else wise the visions remain still Is the bright light now seeking me? Drip, Drip, Be,beep Behind lids shut against it all beyond, Time is measured by nothing at all, Forever the night, never the dawn, Always before the birds first call. Drip, Drip, Be,beep One light or another so much the same, A choice of the vastness of unknown, Or reality’s temptations and pain At least I know which seeds are sown. Drip, Drip, Be,beep Drip, Drip, Be,beep “Can you hear me?” What are my choices? Gloom Note: I am aware that this will confuse some, my writings often do, Yet I post this without clue, the first version was not posted. There might be another version, time will tell. |

Gloom, You have put my mind into gear, But I can not get it,I fear Your words do touch a cord But mind just can't cross the ford. From one left in Anticipation of explanation. Best to you, Jo |

I am thinking of the tick tick tick of the clock and the beat beat beat of the drum. Isn't that a song? Yes to Lori, a bit about the life span and the delicate position we are all in? What say you Gloom? jo |

Is the bright light now seeking me? Dear Professor Gloom, you are true to your melancholic nature and share your emotions very beautifully. I ride along the waves you stir in the sea of deep mysteries and when the LIGHT will seek us out we shall finally KNOW. Meanwhile we can trust that every dawn is a new opportunity offered us to LIVE LIFE in all of its complexity, its joys and its sufferings. Love and peace. Margherita |

Really diggin' this poem. Makes me think of a drippy sink and maybe someone beeping their horn outside somewhere while I'm in a deep sleep. That would totally start my day off gloomy. Just my thoughts on it. |

It's a faucet, dripping in the kitchen at night ![]() At least I hope that it's not a steam-heating radiator! |

Thank you all for reading and responding. This was about an unplanned visit to the hospital, If it seems a bit disjointed or slightly confusing So was the time I spent there. Now more than a year later, it still seems disjointed and confusing. Gloom |
