Below the rim of yesterday, there is the magic beauty Of a shattered rainbow, multicoloured shards of mysticism That twinkle themselves into existence for a moment, Only to slip from their own glow, back into shades gone by While hand stitched whispered lace flutters on a moonlit face, Where eyes dipped in wondrous reminiscence shine deeply From yesterday into today, and from today into tomorrow, As their winding wonderment touches the furthermost glittering stars. Thoughts transpose themselves onto drifting cloud manuscripts Then they wander on, trying to reach their own decisions Before their decisions reach them, so cautious in blue They go on their way, each thought a dream adrift on the breezes of the day before, searching the seas of fulfilment, yet afraid To gaze in the mirror, in case there are only faces of disappointment Staring back, although ever hopeful that smiles touch smiles, That questions touch answers, and dreams at last find peace. Above each prayer there reaches out the hands of supplication Touching daisy chains of whispers, hushing them to sleep Softly by the fireside of crimson warmth and grey velvet smoke, Waiting with the infinite patience of a dawn filled skyline For its sun to paint morning’s gently hushed beginning, So much of life stands and looks out to sea, washed by forever’s spray So many miniscule memories meander through trickling daydreams Until at last they feel the connections that they have always sought… |

I love this! Your your visuals are right on and they connect to each other like perfect puzzle pieces. This is gets better with each read. Lori ![]() |
