![]() sometimes I feel I am as one with the spacious cosmos spread my arms pull the great expanse into me a fortitude of birthless timeless spirit hears my silent request I construct my own happiness and sorrow within my unique quest of life I shroud legitimacy with the serpent of my soul daily at night spiders take over still . . . there is a conscious ecstasy with my every breath freely I create my sheath of life to freely partake of shadowed enjoyment ©November 24, 2014 / Jerry Pat Bolton If they give you ruled paper write sideways. Yeah, I've completely lost that feeling of the kickass kinda poems I used to write. Never thought it would happen. Really don't much like it. Dammit I'm Mad is Dammit I'm Mad spelled backward. |

Isn't it wonderful that we a can reinvent ourselves whenever the need arises? I feel we each carry many other voices within our minds. Voices that can change a feeling in a silent flash. We are so many people within one. The person we are,the person we think we are and the person we would like to be. Add in the many different versions of us that those who see us and think they know us. Amazing! best to you, Jo P.S. I think of Cary Grant and how he fashioned himself to be the suave man he became. http://www.biography.com/people/cary-grant-9318103 |

Thank you very much for your wise comments and the link to the Cary Grant story. He was one of my favorite actors. He was impressive to me onscreen, but his background was so varied and troubled that I was surprised he made it as far in life as he did. It was good to read, the point you were trying to make I think was that with drive and ambition people can do far greater things that even they can surprised. Thank you again . . . Jerry, your poems always touch me in some way. Today I am thinking of you and others as I set up my "Poetree" and reread your quilted poem. M |

Wow ... and what feelings you have expressed here, dear Jerry. This is actually one of my favorites of your rich production! Because it speaks to me. Expand expand your consciousness ... and the shadows will become tinier and shrink to nothing. Love, Margherita ![]() |
