   A Winter Moment
        out of Time
    (an impression)

December morning
swept by a pallid dawn
and voiceless wind.
All seems suspended
in a silent, eternally
shifting light and
shadow dance,
belying for but a
    moment
the ever-rolling seasons
and this world of flux
   and transience
where only change is
    changeless
and the one certain
   certainty.

Nice play on words there at the end, Bruce. This was, as a whole, exceptional in my way of thinking.
