A long line of stares, gazes intent and probing. She wonders: Is a woman’s life enduring endless stares? Are we like endless flights of stairs; and do we all have the same design? Or do some have a supporting framework with balusters and rails; are some patterns spiral, with no light structure serving as a guard; or zigzag, with landings to pass from one level to another; or are some just in a straight line; and are these the really lucky men who find us accommodating like a steady escalator? And, she wondered some more, what about me? Do I possess my own escalator? |

Eh . . . The women do find themselves stared at, sometimes unmerciful. They like to complain about it, but nevertheless they paint and powder, take the slinkiest black dress to wear for that day. She gets started out, and she smiles because she knows she can bring the male population to their knees . . . literally. Later at lunch with girlfriends she just shakes her pretty head and berates the neanderthal mentality of males in this day and age. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Wow... great ponder here. Kinda makes me wonder who is more programmed into their societal behaviors, the male or female, or both. Always surprising to see human emotion beneath the surface of anyone these days. Enjoyed. Michael |

It depends how long the stares are - what kind. Are these the wolf-whistle kind, frankly admiring, just complimenting beauty kind...Unless they're the opposite, a beautiful female should just accept these with grace. |
