Residing in the dark of inner tombs - Yet as content within as is without - The ever-present shadow silent looms, This envoy of past deeds and ever-doubt. It revels equal in the light of day; 'Tis my shadow twin -- and I pray the night Shall grant a kind reprieve - oh, but to stay Its single aim! -- And with the waning light It envelopes; it fills the voids where Sun Had been; it drowns the embers of the life The Light is seeking - till there is but none -- Then where the life not wrought with dark and strife? I pray, Oh Lord, my plea shall find its mark, At end Thy Mercy does dispel the Dark. CG |

Sharp styling throughout your poem. I'm glad my shadow can't talk for itself. The things it could tell my wife, police, FBI, CIA, my wife, Interpol, Homeland Security, the Marines, my wife.... 88's on the sly. She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |
