Morning comes and like always I don’t know how it got here so soon Prohibited in most of my old haunts The wander-lust was far more my style A darling of the Eurasian persuasion She walked over every acre of me With a pedometer metered like A New York taxi at Christmastime "The Tao of it all", she would say The afterglow had all the brilliance Of a Hollywood premiere My baby blues turned to blue-dots When she struck my core with her Twin-floating carbon arcs An epiphany came over me when The shimmering stopped and she Returned to my view with some change . Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |
