Spring She comes gentle on southern winds Soothing winter scars on barren bowers Whispering in the tangled hedgerows ‘Wake my little ones, I am here” Yellowed trumpet heralds lift their heads In silent fanfares to the infant dawn While age worn lips break and smile In hopeful thoughts of one last summer * * |

I never think of not making it through the spring, and summer. "Soothing winter scars on barren bowers" But I do feel kind of "barren" sometimes in winter...but like the trees, I need to see winter as a time of resting. enjoyed the poem, John. |

My own never-ending dreams come in Spring Cari! They hold on for most of the year and just when I think they're leaving, it's Spring again! You write lovely poetry! I think you should write a book of them! ![]() If I were more than I am, I'd see things differently instead of the same all the time. |
