Ducks, cheated by an illusion Land clown like on the frozen canals A web footed ballet on the mirror ice The swans know better, Tchaikovsky taught them well The fox watches with yellowed eyed opportunity Shuffles lean bellied a little closer Nature pulls her white counterpane around her And sleeps under a crystal sky. |
