If I could be, anything

I would want to be
leaf

A petal of
faith
from our ration of
grief

Make me the vow
that is trapped
in avowal

Make me the nest of a questioning,
owl

We seemed to have lost
the us
inside trust

I feel like the minus withheld
from adjust

I am a convict
of creed, and conviction

Life is the product of movement
and friction

We can’t just believe we must
always
become

Character comes from the memory
we’re from

Eternity made me
the ink inside think

The blessing of vision is shared
by a wink

A cup cannot
runneth
on empty and wasteful

A goblet is dry unless
it is faithful

Let me be leave and always
remain

The dye of our secret, resides
in our veins

Your poetry is pleasing to read Richy. I like the structure especially because it affords the opportunity to follow the overall theme incrementally, a line at a time.

Consumed slowly, it is a telling write.
