I Am By Paul Wilson I am the artist With no brush I am the canvas With no paint I am the poet With no words I am the paper With no pen I am the singer With no band I am the lyrics With no voice I am the lonely With no love I am the meek With no will I am the strong With no fight I am the brave With no pride I am the butterfly With no wings I am the flower With no blooms I am the lost With no direction I am the silent With no voice I am the victim With no hope I am the abused Hiding my shame “I must change who I am “ ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

augustsky...This was written for people that doubt themselves and what they can accomplish if they try. The last stanza is a reference to my daughter who is in a bad relationship. Thanks for reading and understanding...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

hey Paul . . . well written and great message. . . haven't quite figured out why but am having trouble with the closing line . . . been mulling it over and will come back later if I can get my words together. j. |

Jimmy...The closing line is directly related to the last stanza, because someone very dear too me is in an abusive relationship. All of the other stanzas are related to the last line only, trying to get the message across that you must believe in yourself to be somebody, Not sure this clears it up.
