Standing by the stone carved with your name, iPod earpiece singing wooded flute laments, I see your eyes shimmering behind the closed lids of my own, and my heart skip-beats, skip-beats, beats . . . A year has passed? Couldn’t have. Just couldn’t have been a year, a year since the relentless gnawing of the beast inside silenced the songs you used to play. The wooded flute laments I hear. Sadden souls cry, fading out in long, single notes, rising suddenly, at the end. You knew, and your soul cries for life in the voice of the wooded flute. You sang the glory of living . . . the songs of life, you aged it’s tone with your heart, melded it’s soul with your own. And my heart skip-beats, skip-beats, beats. . . Christmas, a year ago – coming soon. Wooded flute crying in my soul . . . skip-beats, skip-beats . . . beats. . . . . . . © wesley james beard, jr. My, oh my, Jimmy! How eloquently your heart does grieve (real or otherwise). I can think of no higher honer than to have your words mark my passing. ~L |

I felt as I read..this was a soul to soul connection with you & your loved one..which is very Powerful, & that's what moves the reader so. Your 'beats' captured this reader. Touching, Beautiful piece J. Big squeezy hugs.. Sky~ |
