My apple fell the furthest from my family tree. Still, somehow, Ward and June Cleaver managed to be proud of me. I know now that forgiveness was the key. With my own children too, I understand that’s what love has you do. So when they go astray doesn’t get stuck inside of you. Because you know their apples fell close and rang true. Reminds me of the Son of Man A golden apple born to us, incarnate God’s forgiveness, that only He can. That love is the Spirit of Christmas when we celebrate the birth of the babe that came to liberate us from sin’s fate. LGR(C)12/23/18 |

Thank you all for writing and commenting on this. Christmas has a way of taking me back to my childhood roots with the church. Hope you all had a blessed Christmas. ~L |
