Hopeless and helpless Bitter and tore Relentlessly chasing What they ignore Getting everywhere without opening a door Trying to battle a non existent war Discovering what I found was never lost at all Just basking in the shade As I beat my head against a wall. Teaching me that sometimes freedom isn't free at all You led me to the light and watched me take the fall Never failing to disappoint you they laughed in my face as You shut the door While they Once again denied your namesake. |
