Weatherman says that chances of a white Christmas are slim to none. I always have mixed emotions about the snow. Falling snow on Christmas Eve is the very best of all times. But I worry for those who travel on slippery roads to be with loved ones. So, I am secretly relieved when there is no snow. Still , the romantic in me wants snowing on Xmas morning. I want to see cardinals’ red flitting among the waves of sparkling white drifts. The sight of trees flocked top to bottom warms my heart. The fence posts all lined up wearing their little caps of white always make me smile. I maybe just dreaming of a white Christmas. But dreams can come true, even if chances are slim to none. quote:I have vivid recollections of what you describe so articulately well here, Miss Lori. Nothing was uglier than dragging the manure spreader out into a beautiful layer of snow and engaging the paddles! Rest assured, Lori Rhoden, that nothing in your poetry reminded me of that process! In fact, I don't 'snow' what made me recall such a disparaging sight! I best be getting along. I think I'll hitch a ride over to 'ku kountry. Splendid poetry, my dear! ![]() ...just bein' Bluesy |
