CONNECT THE DOTS

as the Titanic was sinking
the band played on;
when they began
their last song,
the man who’d requested it
had already drowned.

when King Kong fell
his mother was still living;
she received the news
through the natural internet,
and all she could think of
was grooming his fur.

there is a beast
that can only be seen
reflected in water.
it was fathered
by cruelty.
it was mothered
by memory.
it cannot be killed,
and the polar ice
is melting.

never seen a piece that says "It's all about perspective" quite like this one. very interesting.
