cast your shadows half-lived on the walls soak the lamplight soak the candlelight all into you cast your shadows and I'll hold them if you like they're insubstantial dark and only a fraction of you but they can fill me I overflow |

To clarify, although it makes the poem lose a bit of its mystery, the title is German meaning roughly "For a Lover." But the noun Liebste in German is more of a pet name. Moreover, it's the pet name I use for my girlfriend. This poem is about her. |
