The Gift Why did you give it to me? I am completely undeserving. I could never hope to repay you. You loved me when I was unlovable. You blessed me when I hurt others. You claimed me as a prize when I was worthless. You showed me mercy when I gave none. You gave me peace when I disrupted it. You loved me when I was unlovable. Why? My thanks is meaningless compared to the magnitude of your gift. I can never repay you. Thank you. ------------------ JohnDoe ------------------------- You are my strong melody. You are my dancing rythm. You are my perfect rhyme. And I want to sing forever. You're my beautiful, my sweet, sweet song. I will sing again. |

Wonderful sentiment. Might I suggest "on your knees" is a good place to start? This sounds like something I have said to my wife from time to time....she is refined where I am not. Certainly seems correct that two haves make a whole. |

You were never those things. You just thought you were. She knew better. |

I can understand why you would all assume that it was a person that I was referring to, but it's not, per se. |

Well, let me know if I am right, but I thought of the Lord when I read this. Is that who you refer to? by the way good work. |
