I look to the night sky, And see one single star. It spins and shines up so high, And seems so very far. I look to the west and back, But could not find the star a single. Its individuality did lack, And with the others it did mingle. The sky is filled with these, All giving their whole, Into trying to appease. They share this one role. But take a closer look, And you can notice one by one, Some do not follow the book. Some will strive, some fall; some walk some run. Among them all, There is a fool, And he shall fall. Yet there is a rule. That those who reach, They will find. Listen to the wise who teach, And you will not fall behind. Get ahead of the stars, Reach for the sky. Bend the bars, Excel beyond what is nigh. Again I look up and see, The many shimmers, But as for me, I will be my own glimmer. |
