" Whatever means that Doc employs I'll quarantine, you betcha boys!" declares the queen, with regal poise. " But wait, Miss Nan, your High-Ness please, of late, there have occurred to me a spate of words absurd!" says he. " Observe," says Nan," how he annoys!" " Such nerve,to treat these things as toys!" " 'Twould serve him best to stop his noise!" " No Villanelle do I (here) see. " " He's ill, and so's his poetry, a pill is all he'll ever be!" " Oh beans," Doc said, " this I enjoy !" " my queen, if I'm a real good boy, might then a Villanelle or three, amend this one atrocity?" |
