A Sigh Is it the breath of dawn that wakes my eye And hides translucent dreams in curtain’s fold? What is the meaning of a morning sigh Too soft to hear, too gentle to behold? Was it a balmy breeze that touched my skin Or was this warmth that brushed across my breast A slight illusion lingering within A soft goodbye awaiting in its nest Could it have been a whispering of love A moment of contentment left unclaimed Or are your feelings hovering above A wordless wisp, a promise to unchain In this, the moment of awakening I chose to think it was a breath of spring Elizabeth Santos |

Liz-- Love your sonnet because spring is my favorite season with all the earth awakening to new life. You inspire the rest of us with your superb sonnets. Shenachie |
