It's not spring....but oh well, we can wish for it, right?  A sunlit whisper's touch Shivering across my skin Breezes shifting Pastel feathered within the sky Color softly combines Melting into perfection Emotion filled mists float Soothing tender souls Antique roses climb Encircling spring boughs Scents so light, fresh Lifting my wintered heart Into silvered sunshine Cashmere wings of white Carry away the cold Along with my bitterness Leaving me free As the pearled blooms Destined to flower Within this newborn vision Now within the sweetness I simply exist as me And the renewed innocence I so gently breathe. ------------------ *Krista Knutson* "To be great is to be misunderstood...." - Ralph Waldo Emerson |
